fondacije: ,,ICDL sertifikacija pojedince
stavlja na put ka uspehu a njihove drzave
usmerava ka razvoju. Ova saradnja sa CAI
e nam omoguiti da donesemo integrisani
paket hardvera i razvoja vestina u obrazovne
institucije koje rade u izazovnim uslovima,
priblizavajui informacione tehnologije
mnogim studentima u zemljama u razvoju."
Suzan Federston, direktoka za priku-
pljanje sredstava u organizaciji Computer Aid
je izjavila: ,,Racunari pomazu ljudima svih
uzrasta i rasa, kao i ljudima sa hendikepima
da postignu najvise u zivotu. Udruzujui nas
hardver sa ICDL-om, tim ljudima vraamo
kontrolu nad njihovim zivotima."
Ova saradnja e omoguiti da obe or-
ganizacije ponude bolja resenja svojim loka-
lnim partnerima.
Lorens Dijeto, drustveni radnik iz
grupe CRESS (www.cresskenya.org) u
Korogocu, jednom od najsiromasnijih
sirotinjskih kvartova Najrobija, je izjavio:
,,Hiljade nezaposlenih mladih u Korogocu
bi moglo da ima pristup racunarskim labo-
ratorijama i ICDL obuci kako bi sami sebi
pomogli da izau iz siromastva, kriminala i
pobegnu od iskusenja droga. Drago mi je sto
e ECDL i CAI saraivati da bi pomogli vei
broj zajednica poput moje."
According to Daniel Palmer, General
Manager of ECDL Foundation's ICDL Africa
initiative: "The ICDL certification puts
individuals on the road to success and their
countries on the highway to development.
This partnership with CAI will enable us to
bring an integrated package of hardware and
skills development to educational institutions
operating in challenging circumstances,
putting them within reach of many more
students in developing countries."
According to Suzanne Featherstone,
Director of Fundraising at Computer Aid:
"Computers help people of all ages and races,
and people challenged by disabilities to achieve
the most in life. By teaming our hardware
with the ICDL we put more deprived people in
control of their lives."
This collaboration will enable both
organisations to offer a better solutions to
their local partners.
Lawrence Dieto, a community worker
with self-help group CRESS (www.cresskenya.
org) in Korogocho, one of Nairobi's poorest
slums said: `Thousands of unemployed youths
in Korogocho could access computer labs and
the ICDL training to help themselves out of
poverty, crime and the temptations of drugs. I
am glad that ICDL and CAI will work together
to help more communities such as mine."
