The research
book by McKiernan
and Purg identifies
three groups of HCs
in Serbia: strong
HCs,
prospective
HCs and a start-
up with emerging
competitive advantage. The first group includes
companies RT-RK CBS and EXECOM, the
second group Novkabel, Duochem, Prvi
Partizan and Copper Mill Sevojno, whereas
the third type is PlusPlus New Technologies.
The two so called strong HCs are both
computing and technology-based companies,
established by professors and engineers from
the Faculty of Engineering at Serbia's University
of Novi Sad. RT-RK CBS is a leader in EU,
USA, Turkish, Israeli and Russian markets in
providing cost efficient software and hardware
solutions for automating functional testing
of multimedia devices. EXECOM is a leader
in the customs software solutions market in
Western Europe.

It is interesting to take a look at two
