Authority and responsibility for

functioning of the Register has been
clearly defined form the very start in
the Institute for Public Health of Serbia
and includes 23 regional institutes for
public health. That was not the case
in most previous attempts realized
through various projects and which did
not have clearly defined authorities and
responsibilities for sustainability after the
project completion.
Formation of the Register of Medical
Devices enabled the access to the information
about medical devices of national importance
for all medical workers, decision makers at all
levels (medical institutions managers, local
governments, Institute for Public Health of the
Republic of Serbia, Republic Fund for Health
Insurance, Ministry of Health), analysts and
planners (network of public health institutes),
public, and above all, users of health care in
the Republic of Serbia.

tuta za javno zdravlje Srbije,
omoguava kontinuirano
azuriranje i korisenje poda-
taka u samim zdravstvenim
ustanovama, kao i kontrolu,
analizu i izvestavanje na
visim nivoima (okrug, Re-
publika).

vornost za funkcionalnost
Registra je od samog pocetka jasno
definisana u Institutu za javno zdravlje
Srbije i mrezi 23 okruzna instituta/za-
voda za javno zdravlje. Kod veine rani-
jih pokusaja koji su bili realizovani kroz
razlicite projekte i koji nisu imali jasno
definisane nadleznosti i odgovornost za
odrzivost nakon zavrsetka projekta to
nije bio slucaj.
Formiranje Registra medicinske
opreme omoguilo je dostupnost podataka o
medicinskoj opremi od nacionalnog znacaja
svim zdravstvenim radnicima, donosiocima
odluka na svim nivoima (direktori zdravst-
venih ustanova, lokalna samouprava, Insti-
tut za javno zdravlje Srbije, Republicki fond
za zdravstveno osiguranje, Ministarstvo
zdravlja), analiticarima i planerima (mreza
instituta/zavoda za javno zdravlje), javnosti,
a pre svega korisnicima zdravstvene zastite u
Republici Srbiji.
