right to take care of Nikola's property. Sava
Kosanovi, a Serbian politician, publicist, and
diplomat, was at the time a member of the
Government of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in
exile and was residing in New York. Investing
large efforts, thanks to him in 1951 all Nikola
Tesla's personal possessions and records were
transferred to Belgrade. Later, Sava Kosanovi
donated them to the state.
Establishment of Nikola Tesla's Museum
On the proposition of the Council for
Science and Culture, on December 15th,
1952, Marshal of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito,
signed the decision on establishment of Nikola
Tesla's Museum, headquartered in Belgrade.
The goals of the Museum was defined by

u izbeglistvu i boravio je u Njujorku. Nje-
govim zalaganjem su 1951. godine konacno
svi licni predmeti i spisi Nikole Tesle pre-
neti u Beograd. Sava Kosanovi ih je potom
poklonio drzavi.
Ustanovljenje Muzeja Nikole Tesle
Na predlog Saveta za nauku i kulturu,
Marsal Jugoslavije Josip Broz Tito je 5.12.1952.
godine potpisao resenje o osnivanju Muzeja
Nikole Tesle sa sedistem u Beogradu. Zadaci
rada muzeja su utvreni ovom uredbom: da
cuva naucnu i licnu zaostavstinu Nikole Tes-
le, da prikuplja i cuva dokumentaciju i licne
predmete u vezi sa zivotom i radom Nikole
Tesle i da kao nosilac autorskih prava daje
ovlasenja za objavljivanje, prestampavanje i
prevoenje dela i spisa Nikole Tesle ...
Od osnivanja do danas Muzej Nikole
Tesle je od velikog broja prestiznih institucija
primio nekoliko desetina nagrada, plaketa,
povelja, diploma i zahvalnica za svoj rad na
popularizaciji izmiteljskog rada Nikole Tesle.
